Isochem HK launches IsoQure^® Ameomox as part of its expanding range of silane coupling agents. The Aminopropyltriethoxysilane can be used over a broad range of applications to provide superior bonds between inorganic substrates and organic polymers. The silicon-containing portion of the molecule provides strong bonding to substrates. The primary amine function reacts with a wide array of thermoset, thermoplastic, and elastomeric materials.

Applications include mineral-filled phenolics, epoxies, polyamides, polybutylene terephthalate, and a host of other thermoset and thermoplastic composites, and many more.

The pre-registration deadline for REACH substances is approaching fast! Kautschuk Gesellschaft Group has pre-registered all of its products with the European Chemicals Agency.

In order to serve our customers better, all up-to-date information about our products is now available online through our REACH information portal. This includes the official pre-registration numbers and regulatory IDs of the products as well as automated notifications that are sent to you as soon as new data becomes available.

If you already have a kautschuk.com user account, you can log in to the REACH portal with those same credentials. If you do not yet have an account with us, you can easily register (or request a password reminder) by filling out the registration form on our site.

After the successful launch of IsoQure^® Metrimox, Isochem Ltd HK has expanded its silane product portfolio by four new adhesion promoters and coupling agents.

IsoQure^® Aminomox is used as adhesion promoter at organic/inorganic interfaces, for the modification of surfaces (corrosion prevention, component of primers), silicone-polymers or as crosslinker. The application as a coupling agent leads to an improvement of mechanical and electrical properties under exposure to heat and/or moisture.

IsoQure^® Apromox is an amino-functional silane that may be used over a broad range of applications to improve the bonding between a substrate, filler or reinforcement materials and resins that react with the amino group.

IsoQure^® Glycimox is an epoxy-functional silane. It can be used as a coupling agent in polysulfide and polyurethane caulks and sealants, in mineral-filled or glass-reinforced thermosets and thermoplastics, and in glass roving size-binders. It is particularly well-suited as an adhesion-promoting additive in waterborne systems, e.g. improving the adhesion of acrylic latex sealants.

IsoQure^® Mercaptomox is a mercapto-functional silane that finds use as a coupling agent in polysulfide and polyurethane caulks and sealants. It is especially useful in sulfur-cured and metal oxide-cured elastomers.

IsoQure^® Metrimox is used as adhesion promoter at organic/inorgainc interfaces, as surface modifier (e.g. imparting water repellency, organophilic surface adjustment) or as crosslinking of polymers). It is used as a coupling agent to improve the physical and electrical properties of glass-reinforced and mineral-filled thermosetting resins under exposure to heat and/or moisture.
IsoQure^® Metrimox:

• improves strength as glass fiber size composite in reinforced polyester composites.
• enhances initial and wet strength of reinforced polyester resin composites.
• enhances the wet electrical properties of many mineral-filled and reinforced composites.
• crosslinks acrylic type resins improving adhesion and durability of adhesives and coatings.

With the new REACH legislation in effect, all companies in the chemical sector that manufacture or import substances into the European market face challenges regarding the registration of their products and raw materials.
