Isogran® CLD-80
Non-staining sulfur donor for vulcanization
Kautschuk.com Product ID 0000-120
Dithidicaprolactam (N,N'-dithio-bis(hexahydro-2H-azepinone-2)) with elastomer binder.
Under normal curing conditions Isogran® CLD-80 liberates free sulfur which, in contrast to normal sulfur, mainly forms mono- and di-sulfur bridges. These are responsible for excellent heat aging resistance of the vulcanizates. Isogran® CLD-80 causes no blooming effects, which are generally observed when using Thiuramdisulfides as cross-linking agents. In contrast to compounds with other sulfur donors, compounds with Isogran® CLD-80 stand out for their increased safety in scorch properties. When the full curing temperature is reached, a quick vulcanization occurs. A broad curing plateau results. Isogran® CLD-80 is recommend for curing processes which involve hogh temperatures. Reversion is limited.
In general the use of Isogran® CLD-80 is recommended whenever favorable compression set behavior and advantageous aging behavior is required. Antioxidant dosages may be reduced.
