Application

Isodur XDI is used as a curing agent for light-stable polyurethanes, especially in applications requiring high weather resistance and optical clarity. Typical use cases include:

  • Aliphatic PU coatings for plastics and metals
  • Polyurethane resins for high-performance optical lenses
  • Specialty adhesives and elastomers with non-yellowing properties
  • Usage Information

Isodur XDI is typically reacted with polyols to form prepolymers or directly cured formulations. Due to its low viscosity and high purity, it enables accurate stoichiometry and good processing characteristics.

    Handling, Storage, and Packaging

Isodur XDI is moisture-sensitive. It should be stored in tightly sealed original containers at 10–25°C in a dry, well-ventilated area. Crystallization may occur at low temperatures but is reversible on warming. Use only under inert gas blanketing for long-term storage. Appropriate safety and handling precautions must be followed.

Available pack sizes for Isodur XDI:

  • 180 kg drums
  • 0.75kg Aluminium bottles
