Application
IsoQure® DCD LER 50 is a paste of dicyandiamide and liquid epoxy resin. It simplifies handling and improves dispersibility in liquid epoxy resins as a master batch for composites and adhesives. Depending on curing conditions, one dicyandiamide molecule reacts with 6-7 epoxy groups. This reaction results in an empirical H- equivalent weight of 12-14 g/eq. for dicyandiamide. Recommend temperature for cure is between 70 °C and 160 °C depending on desired cure cycle and the accelerators being used in combination with IsoQure® DCD LER 50.
Handling, Storage and Packaging
Store this material in a clean, dry environment in its tightly closed original container. These products are not considered especially temperature or moisture sensitive, but should ideally be stored at temperatures between 18-25°C and kept from moisture contamination. Storage at lower temperatures could lead to crystallization and may require the application of heat to reverse. If the product appears crystalline or is thicker than normal when opened, heat for 4-6 hours at 65°C to re-liquefy prior to use. If the recommended storage conditions are observed the products will have a minimum shelf- life of 24 months from the date of shipment.
The processing and use of IsoQure® DCD LER 50 requires adequate technical and professional knowledge. Please consult safety data sheet and observe local safety regulations. The legal requirements prevailing in your country, especially in the avoidance of accidents, working hygiene and patent rights must be observed.
