Applications
Dips
Isobond® LT - 45 is well suited for dip formulations, especially in tire cord applications, and can be used as a component of resorcinol-free formulation systems.
Fibre reinforcement
Isobond® LT - 45 can be used to prepare or reinforce organic and anorganic fibres. It can improve adhesion and hardening in fibre glass applications.
Fabric Printing
Isobond® LT - 45 is suitable for use in pigment printing pastes (with or without white spirit). Its addition enhances the wet rubfastness and washfastness of the prints. Isobond® LT - 45 demonstrates high effectiveness particularly in prints on woven and knitted fabrics made of synthetic fibres, regenerated cellulosics, as well as their blends with cotton.
Isobond® LT - 45 is recommended in applications that necessitate formaldehyde-free pigment prints (Öko-Tex Standard 100). The printing pastes do not require the addition of urea. A standard inclusion range is typically between 5-15 g/kg. Isobond® LT - 45 does not negatively affect the potlife or running properties of the printing pastes. However, it is important to maintain a pH level of around 8 - 9 in the printing pastes.
