IsoQure® ZnO 25 CCF
Chemical name: Zinc oxide coated nano calcium carbonate
CAS Number: Mixture (zinc oxide: 1314-13-2; calcium carbonate: 471-34-1)
EINECS Number: Mixture (zinc oxide: 215-222-5; calcium carbonate: 207-439-9)
IsoQure® ZnO 25 CCF is an active composite zinc oxide coated on a nano calcium carbonate core with a high specific surface area of approx. 25 m²/g and small particle size. It is suitable for both natural and synthetic rubber (including EPDM) and provides similar or better mechanical properties compared to conventional zinc oxide grades, such as abrasion resistance, tensile strength and elongation at break.
Material Definition
Appearance: White to light yellowish powder
ZnO content: ≥ 93 %
Lead (Pb2+) content: ≤ 0.001 %
Copper (Cu2+) content: ≤ 0.0005 %
Manganese (Mn2+) content: ≤ 0.001 %
Density: Approx. 3.4 g/cm3
Surface Area: Approx. 25 m²/g
The zinc oxide content is about 50–52 % of the total product weight; the rest is inert nano calcium carbonate.
(BET surface area is given for both coat and core material and at the time of manufacture.)
Application
IsoQure® ZnO 25 CCF is designed for dynamic rubber applications where high activity and excellent dispersion are required. It is suitable for both natural and synthetic rubber and recommended for, e.g.:Compared to ordinary zinc oxide, IsoQure® ZnO 25 CCF provides similar or improved abrasion resistance, tensile strength and elongation at break, depending on compound formulation. The product is free-flowing with fast incorporation and good dispersion in the rubber mix.
Typical dosage: 4–10 phr, depending on application and performance requirements.
Handling, Storage and Packaging
The processing and use of IsoQure® ZnO 25 CCF require adequate technical and professional knowledge. Please consult the safety data sheet and observe local safety regulations. The legal requirements prevailing in your country, especially in the avoidance of accidents, working hygiene and patent rights, must be observed.IsoQure® ZnO 25 CCF should be stored in tightly sealed original containers in a cool and dry place. When properly stored it remains stable for an extended period; observe the indicated retest date on the product label.
Standard pack size of IsoQure® ZnO 25 CCF is 25 kg in a PP woven bag with PE liner and an additional PE inner bag.
