IsoQure® ZnO Active 100
Chemical name: Zinc oxide
CAS Number: 1314-13-2
EINECS Number: 215-222-5
IsoQure® ZnO Active 100 is a high surface area, small-particle active zinc oxide with very good powder flow, suitable for automatic weighing systems. Compared to ordinary zinc oxides, it provides improved dispersion and higher activation efficiency in a wide range of applications, particularly where high specific surface area is required.
Material Definition
Appearance: White to light yellowish powder (fine particles of precipitated zinc oxide)
ZnO content: ≥ 90 %
Lead (Pb2+) content: ≤ 0.001 %
Cadmium (Cd2+) content: ≤ 0.001 %
Iron (Fe2+) content: ≤ 0.005 %
Sieve residue, 325 mesh: ≤ 0.1 %
Specific surface area (BET): Approx. 100 m²/g*
* At the time of manufacture; nitrogen adsorption, BET method.
Application
IsoQure® ZnO Active 100 is designed for use in highly demanding applications where very high zinc oxide surface area and excellent dispersion are required. Typical uses include:
The combination of small primary particle size, dustless powder form and high specific surface area allows efficient activation at reduced zinc oxide dosage levels, while facilitating handling and automated dosing.
Handling, Storage and Packaging
The processing and use of IsoQure® ZnO Active 100 require adequate technical and professional knowledge. Please consult the safety data sheet and observe local safety regulations. The legal requirements prevailing in your country, especially in the avoidance of accidents, industrial hygiene and patent rights, must be observed.
IsoQure® ZnO Active 100 should be stored in tightly sealed original containers in a cool and dry place. When properly stored it remains stable for an extended period; observe the indicated retest date on the label.
