IsoQure® ZnO HC

Chemical name: Zinc oxide

CAS Number: 1314-13-2

EINECS Number: 215-222-5

IsoQure® ZnO HC is a fine particle size zinc oxide that serves both as an activator in rubber compounding and a heat transfer medium during and after curing. It is also ideal for adhesives and latex products due to its excellent dispersibility and high thermal conductivity.

Application

IsoQure® ZnO HC has a significantly higher thermal conductivity compared to ordinary zinc oxide, making it particularly suitable for curing thick rubber parts such as solid tires, rollers, and bridge supports. It helps reduce heat buildup and enhances heat dissipation during the operation of these parts. When added in large amounts, IsoQure® ZnO HC minimizes stiffening, maintaining the flexibility of rubber compounds without significantly increasing hardness. Additionally, its UV absorption and reflection properties help prevent discoloration, keeping tire sidewalls from turning white or yellowish.

Handling, Storage and Packaging

The processing and use of IsoQure® ZnO HC require adequate technical and professional knowledge. Please consult the safety data sheet and observe local safety regulations. The legal requirements prevailing in your country, especially in the avoidance of accidents, working hygiene, and patent rights, must be observed.

IsoQure® ZnO HC must be stored in tightly sealed original containers in a cool and dry place. Properly stored, it is stable for a minimum of two years. Standard pack size of IsoQure® ZnO HC is 25 kg in a woven PP bag with a PE inner liner plus a PE inner bag.
