Isolan FRB
Isolan FRB is an efficient, halogen-free and antimony-free flame retardant compound for black-out layers and other technical coatings.
Material Definition
Solid content: 38 - 42%
Brookfield Viscosity @25°C: 1,000-2,500 mPa.s
pH value: 6.5 - 8.5
Density: 1.08 g/cm^3
Application
Isolan FRB is administered using the knife-over-roll coating technique and is then dried at temperatures ranging from 80 – 120°C prior to crushing. There's no need for post-curing at elevated temperatures. The dry weights of Isolan FRB typically range between 60 – 90 gsm. Standard foam ratios for blackout purposes lie between 250 – 300 g/l. Before coating, ensure you verify the viscosity and mix the compound thoroughly.
The quantity of Isolan FRB necessary to achieve satisfactory fire retardant performance can vary based on the flammability test, the substrate's composition and structure, the type of other auxiliaries, additives, or finishes, among other factors. Such requirements should be ascertained in a laboratory setting beforehand. Common applications include FAR25853 and DIN4102-B2.
Storage
The optimum storage and handling temperature range is 5 °C to 30 °C. The product must be protected from heat and frost in order to maintain viability. Containers must not be re-stocked after they have been opened. Properly stored, Isolan FRB is stable for at least 12 months after the shipment has left our warehouse.
Packaging
Isolan FRB is available in IBCs (1000kg each) and drums (210kg each). MoQ are 2 pallets with 8 drums each or 1 IBC.
